Your work is to create a calendar of Nassau County-based news events that can be covered by student journalists. You will work to find events and will be required to speak with representatives of organizations that are hosting events and provide information.
Come into the NewsHub and take a seat in the middle set of computers. That is the assignment desk and will be your headquarters for your shift.
Crank up the computer and go to projectduckprototype.googlepages.com. This will be your central hub for entering information for the daily calendar and for registering where people are covering.
You can check and see what has already been entered for the day on the calendar.
